Okay, Adam, I did what you told me. I read the story. And this sentence popped out at me. The police chief is threatening the young-about-to-be-elected mayor and says he will
“use the full force and authority of my legal position to reign down on you…”
I think the police chief may have been more literate than the reporter. I think he probably said “rain down on you…” But of course, I’m not a copyeditor at the Dallas Morning News.
