The NYTimes has a story about CarnetTravels.com, an online travel guide for uppity types. The producers of Carnet were wondering what to do about the Lower East Side of NY:
Before long, they determined that the boutiques on Orchard, Ludlow and Clinton Streets were intriguing but ultimately too cool for school. “They’re just not carnet worthy,” she said. “I also don’t think a woman from Dallas would feel comfortable on these streets.”
Don’t they know what kind of streets we have? Have they not heard of our potholes? Sheesh.
