I got a tip earlier this morning that Borat, aka Sacha Baron Cohen, aka Ali G was in town yesterday, shooting at the Premier Club. I spoke with trainer Terri Arends. Yep. She says she fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Terri hadn’t seen the show, so she obliged Borat, my fave character on the show, as he took a fitness and boxing class from her. She says her patience grew thin, at times, but she never lost it completely. “We were on the fit balls, using the fit balls, doing some ab work. We were doing that and he was on his head. I felt like telling him, ‘Listen. Listen. Don’t you see what I’m doing. Just emulate me.’ I said, ‘Keep your feet on the ground,’ and I grabbed his feet and I, like, anchored them down. And then, of course, he fell backwards. And then I had another member, I said, ‘Support him here on his back.’ I said, ‘Now just learn today how to sit on the ball. Don’t try anything else.'” Terri then laughs heartily. I do too. She doesn’t know when the Premier Club episode will air. And I’m guessing Ali G and/or Bruno will be around. Keep an eye out.
