We missed talking about the fire at the WRYC, one of my favorite places in Dallas–or what used to be one of my favorite places. It has (had?) a pool in back where the kids could swim while you drink (drank?) cold beer. The bar inside was a real throw-back kind of setting. We, in fact, were set to give the WRYC a “Best Of” this year for “Best Place to Drink and Watch Your Kids Swim” or somesuch, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen now.
Something I find curious: the place had been for sale for quite a while. I’m just saying.
