TRUE CRIME

I thought about Reid’s post on Friday about Harry Hunsicker as I read Jim Schutze’s column from last week over lunch. (The city’s suit against Freddy Davenport, in particular, you have to read to believe.)

Dallas is “a full-fledged character in the book,” as Reid says. But check out the reader reviews, raves all, and you start to piece together an image of Dallas that emerges from the enthusiasm. You’d think we had taken the top spot in national crime year after year or something.
