RE: TROUBLE AT KLUV

|

As long as we’re being flattered, let’s have a look at this Overnight blurb in the paper. It’s not online, so I’ll type it up for you:

Management at KLUV-FM (98.7) says there’s no truth to the rumors circulating on various blogs that Jody Dean is backing away from his role as Ron Chapman’s morning-show successor.

“We look forward to having Jody with us tomorrow and for many years to come,” said Brian Purdy, senior vice president and market manager for Infinity Broadcasting Corp., the corporate parent of KLUV.

Mr. Dean has been co-hosting with Mr. Chapman since May 16 and is scheduled to take over after Mr. Chapman retires June 25. He did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Rumors on “various blogs”? Is that what we are? A various blog? And the worst part is that Spencer Michlin wrote that blurb. Spencer has writen for us. I HAD LUNCH WITH HIM LAST WEEK! C’mon, Spence, why you gotta be a playa hata?
