You may remember the D Home and Dallas Auction Gallery event I teased last Friday. You want a recap, don’t you? Sadly, I was out of town and unable to attend, but someone who did tells me about 200 people showed up and the organizers raised about $4,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of North Texas. People brought everything from furniture to jewelry to toy cars to find out if such things were worth a fortune. Turns out, some of it was. A couple who inherited a painting from the husband’s family found out it was worth $20,000. Another couple brought in a framed Cross Stitch that was estimated to be worth somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000. Congrats to all.
