BLACKWOOD TO MILLER, PT. II

|

Oh, so what office is Blackwood looking at? On his web site, Dan Branch links to a May 28 story that has him aiming for the Attorney General’s office. That had been the word on the street, and the link provides at least some tacit approval of the gossip. That means Blackwood would likely run for Branch’s spot in the Texas House, which is one of the most attractive seats in the state. (It also means that Greg Abbott is looking at another race, probably Lite Guv according to a reliable source in Austin.)

Of course, if politicians didn’t worry so much about moving up the ballot, maybe they could solve problems like, say, school finance. As it now stands, I’m not sure that the leadership in Austin could organize a one-car parade.
