On May 18, Tim Rogers broke the news to the world that Crayton Webb was stepping down as Mayor Miller’s chief of staff. The Morning News ran its piece the following day.
But the job posting went up on May 13.
So what’s that you say? You want to work for the mayor? Hey, the pay scale tops out at $66,317, which is $6,317 more than what the mayor makes. You’ve got to love the irony about making more than your boss.
Of course, there’s also irony in the job requirement that you “must be able to communicate effectively and diplomatically with all levels of government,” but who’s keeping score?
