FLASH MOBS = STILL NOT COOL

Remember “flash mobs” wherein hipsters would congregate to do something silly in a very public place, like, say, Mockingbird Station or White Rock Lake? The fad died out faster than fads typically do, which is fine by “Bill,” the guy who started it all. In this interview, Bill says he started it as a joke. “I thought of it as a stunt that would satirize scenester-y gatherings,” he says.
