It’s the unofficial end of summer. (Then, in a blink of an eye, it’s pumpkin spice latte season.) Here’s where to enjoy the long holiday in Dallas.

If you’re staying close to home this weekend, there’s plenty to do in the city for the long holiday. No packing, cabin-booking (JK, they’re all reserved), or lake spot hunting required.

The Statler

Kick off the three day weekend with a little bit of rock and roll! ZZTex (ZZ Top cover band), Van Halen Experience (Van Halen cover band), and Kiss Destroyer (KISS cover band) take over the Downtown Dallas hotel for Titans of Rock. The all-ages event starts Friday at 8 p.m. and ends at 12:30 a.m.

With a high temperature of 97 degrees, enjoy the beautiful golden sun rays at Technorotica, The Statler’s rooftop pool party. Masks are required for entry, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying back-to-back DJ sets from Jesse Calosso, Santiago, and Chris Mck. The Sunday party kicks off at 3 p.m.

C.B. Smoove of Meet Me Underground brings the house tunes to Deep End Pool Party. Presented by Next Level Events, the six-hour pool party features back-to-back performances by DJ Clarity, Faucon, El, and Noyola. Ladies get in free before 5 p.m., so make sure to drop this event in the group chat. The 21+ pool party begins at 3 p.m.

AC Hotel Dallas

You had me at AC pool deck, lol! Indulge on tapas, crisp cocktails and live entertainment at their Farewell to Summer Pool Party. Spend your Sunday lounging at the hotel’s European resort inspired pool.

Legacy Hall

Bring your family to the Labor Day Weekend Luau. Challenge pops to a friendly game of limbo. Or end the night with a Bacardi Tiki cocktail to the sounds of Buffett Beach (Jimmy Buffett tribute band) and Barefoot Nation (Kenny Chesney tribute band).

Trinity Groves

Head there Sept. 4 & 5 from 1 to 9 p.m.

Terry Black’s Barbecue

The Deep Ellum ‘cue joint will have Labor Day specials: $15 buckets of beer, plus drafts, signature black (blood orange) margaritas, gold margaritas, and frozen Jack and coke are 5 bucks. The deal runs Sept. 3–6.
