Another year, another DFW Restaurant Week is upon us. And yet, it’s unlike any other year at all. Already the annual dining event had been pushed from its usual slot in June to late summer due to the pandemic. That may be all the more reason to support restaurants mightily this year.

DFW Restaurant Week officially runs August 31 through September 6, but the list of participating restaurants has been revealed today. This means, of course, it’s time to get your reservations locked in.

Billy Can Can, Tei-An, Gemelle, Jalisco Norte, Niwa—there are plenty of thrilling places to check out for the first time or revisit.

While dine-in is the usual format for supporting restaurants through prix fixe, multi-course lunch and dinner specials, takeout will also be offered this year. (After all, according to the Dallas County COVID-19 Health Guidance, we’re still in the “stay home, stay safe” red zone.) It should also help offset the fact that dining rooms should be operating at 50 percent capacity. Ten percent of proceeds from DFW Restaurant Week will go to two local nonprofits, North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope.

Of the nearly 100 restaurant options, look for the “features” offered: $49, $39, Take-Out, Lunch Experience, Preview Weekend. This will help you navigate each restaurant’s pricing and meal offerings. When ordering take-out, be sure to mention “DFW Restaurant Week.”
Many restaurants are extending for additional weeks, through September 27. See below for dates, and happy dining!

Preview Weekend:  Aug 28–30
Week 1: Aug 31–Sept 6
Week 2: Sept 7–13
