Foxtrot, the chic, hip coffee-shop/deli/wine bar/corner bodega/everything-you-want-it-to-be with delivery and seven locations in Chicago is opening its second Dallas location today in University Park’s Hilltop Plaza.

Ever since it opened, the Uptown location, now six months old, has had us nibbling at avocado toasts—with feta, pea shoots, hemp seeds, and Calabrian chile oil, natch—and snagging morning migas breakfast tacos with cortados and maybe considering returning for wine on tap and a pint of dairy-free avocado ice cream from a freezer section that’s woke to dairy-free.

Foxtrot is woke to many things, including the Millenial need for food delivered directly to your office/home/co-working space. Indeed, if you take the “delivery market” moniker seriously, you’re staring at the one element that might give Foxtrot an edge over places like Royal Blue Grocery.

Apart from more blue majik spirulina smoothies and shelves with sleek cookbooks (I confess, I snagged one and eyed two others covetously), you’re also getting expanded delivery. Starting today, Foxtrot will extend the boundaries of its Dallas delivery zone to include the Uptown/Downtown areas, Knox/Henderson, Park Cities, Lower Greenville, Lakewood neighborhoods and now North Dallas, Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands.

Check out the week’s worth of goodies and freebies this week for the University Park opening.
