Wahlburgers to open at The Star in Frisco:
The burger chain from brothers Mark (Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Boogie Nights, a meteorologist this one time), Donnie (New Kids on the Block), and Paul Wahlberg (chef) will open at The Star in Frisco.

According to the release:

Founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, Wahlburgers, the subject of an A&E reality show, offers a casual dining experience where guests, like family, share great food and drinks, a few laughs and lots of fun. While its interior decor is filled with photos and memories celebrating the brothers’ life journeys from Dorchester neighborhood kids to rising chef and international superstars, Wahlburgers makes food the real star. With menu items like delicious fresh ground beef burgers, the sloppiest Sloppy Joe’s, the tastiest tater tots, and the frothiest frappes, its menu is based on the same recipes Paul and his 8 siblings devoured as kids—all served up to its guests for a star-worthy experience. Dedicated to giving back, Wahlburgers is active in every community it serves. Wahlburgers has 32 locations throughout North America and the U.K. In 2018, Wahlburgers launched an at-home retail beef product, which is sold in thousands of stores throughout the US.

Nosh Bistro to open on Tuesday, August 13:
Chef Avner Samuel will open Nosh Bistro at 8611 Hillcrest Rd. next week. According to the release:

After spending the past two and half years in Israel, Chef Samuel steps back into the Dallas dining scene with new culinary inspirations, which will be reflected in the restaurant’s menu. Open for lunch and dinner daily, Nosh will feature a widespread menu and rotating specials that are a perfect fusion of globally inspired cuisine with strong Mediterranean, American and Asian cultural influences.

Diners can expect chef-driven, yet approachable cuisine with an emphasis on incorporating fresh ingredients into every dish. A few items include:

Wagyu Kobe Burger
Seared Divers Scallops
Black Maine Lobster Ravioli

Nosh will also offer brunch every Sunday and will feature distinctive twists on popular favorites, such as Eggs Benedict with Beef Tenderloin, French Thin Crepes, and Steak and Eggs.

“Going back to Israel and immersing myself in the environment where I was first introduced to the art of cooking brought an edge back into the way I look at food and the guest experience I aim to create at Nosh Bistro,” says Samuel in a statement. “Some of my most fond memories involve time spent in the kitchen and seated around the dinner table, and I hope to gift that to everyone that comes into the restaurant.”
