Ida Claire launches new Vinyl Hour specials:
Vinyl Hour, which is happy hour, takes place Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. The reason it’s called “Vinyl Hour” and not “Hula Hoop Hour” or “Soap Carving Hour” is because the soap here comes in a dispenser and therefore it can’t be carved. And Ida Claire does not provide guests with hula hoops. They do, however, play vinyl records during happy hour. And guests can bring their own records, too. Vinyl Hour, get it?

New food and drink specials include: $5 cocktails (daiquiris, frosé, Hurricanes, and Old Fashioneds), $5 select wines, $3 draft beer, $18 tall boy buckets, $36 8-ounce canned wine buckets, and $5 snacks (fried pickled okra, crawfish and corn beignets, Nashville-style chicken tenders, and butterbean hummus).

Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse to open in Plano:
Pappas Restaurants Inc. (Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, and Pappasito’s Cantina) is opening a Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse in Plano in September. The restaurant will be located at 3916 Dallas Pkwy. You can check out the menu here.

Pressed Juicery to open in Uptown:
The cold-pressed juice bar will open at Uptown Plaza (2222 McKinney Ave., Ste. 230) on August 15. According to this press release I have in front of me, on August 15:

All guests who visit the store will receive one complimentary Juice or Freeze during store hours.

The first 100 guests will receive a free $25 gift card to use on any Pressed Juicery products of their choosing.

Throughout the day Pressed Juicery will gift complimentary “Don’t Mess With Pressed” and “Don’t Kale My Vibe” cooler bags to customers (while supplies last) to keep their juice-haul cool while on the go.

Guests who sign up for a Pressed Juicery membership will receive 2 free items (Juice or Freeze) and enjoy discounted pricing on Juice, Freeze and Blends – all available for $5 every day.

Customers will receive free local delivery in under an hour from PressedJuicery.com all month long.

Fun, Instagram-worthy vignettes throughout the store.

Party. Hardy.
