The State Fair of Texas is around the corner. It takes place September 27 through October 20. The 15th Annual Big Tex Choice Awards are also around the corner, which means lots and lots of fried foods and items topped with sugar and syrup and other things that your cardiologist is going to advise you not to eat. But you’re not going to listen to her, are you? Didn’t think so.
The contest, which began in mid-July included 49 entries from 30 concessionaires. A panel of judges narrowed that down to the following items:
The next round of judging begins in a couple of weeks. And then, the top 10 entries will compete at the Big Tex Choice Awards ceremony. The event takes place Sunday, August 25 at 2 p.m. in the historic Tower Building at Fair Park. Tickets cost $125 and can be purchased here.
