Head to Klyde Warren Park this weekend for the fourth annual Park & Palate. The two-day food and wine festival runs October 26 and 27. The event promises to highlight some of Dallas’ hottest restaurants in addition to some killer wines, brews, and spirits. Restaurateur Kent Rathbun is this year’s host and worked meticulously to select the team of 36 participating chefs for the occasion.

On Friday, October 26, Rathbun will create a three-course dinner for a private VIP event, which will be followed by samplings from food trucks and dancing to the Jordan Kahn Orchestra. The dinner will feature a lobster quinoa salad, braised short rib with porcini mushrooms, basil ricotta tortellini, fall vegetables, and a chocolate sweet potato pecan pie.

On Saturday, October 27, during the Grand Taste extravaganza, the team of chefs will serve irresistible bites paired with premier wines, locally-brewed beers, and spirits and cocktails. The event will feature food from all 36 participating chefs, including Alex Astranti from Uchi/Uchiba, Omar Flores from Whistle Britches, Scott Gottlich from 18th & Vine, and Anastacia Quiñones from Tacos de Tacha.

Friday’s VIP event will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., and Saturday’s Grand Taste event will take place from noon until 4 p.m.

While those younger than 21 are not permitted into Klyde Warren Park’s West Lawn throughout this festival, the East Lawn will feature free family-friendly activities available to event-goers of all ages.

Grand Taste tickets are $75 and are available for purchase online and at the event entrance. All proceeds will benefit Klyde Warren Park, managed by the nonprofit Woodall Rodgers Park, and will pay for numerous free programs and educational affairs that Dallas holds throughout the year.
