Grab a Spot at Commissary’s Summer Feast

Don't miss this dinner.

In November, in a post in which I described tearing into a French dip sandwich, smoked fish salad, and posh grilled cheese on levain inside Commissary’s newly opened façade of arty blue-and-white tile, I wrote, “Commissary is the best grab-and-go thing to happen to downtown. Just go and thank us later.”

Since then, those seeking a little bit of refinement haven’t stopped filing in for bagels or pastries or a loaf of their excellent bread.

Recently, the deli, with its behind-the-scenes juggernaut that supplies all Headington Company’s dry-aged meat, charcuterie, bread, and more, has been gathering all of its larder-and-butcher-shop power and throwing what they’re calling theme-night feasts.

The next, this Thursday July 19, involves a multiple-course dinner—raw bar and charcuterie, butcher’s flight with dry-aged steaks, family-style sides and desserts, summer wine pairings—as well as chef demos and a behind-the-scenes tour.

The Summer Feast runs 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Tickets are $125. Sign up here.
