In May, Sydney Coley-Berglund announced via social media that she was closing Wild About Harry’s. She explained that they were having a dispute with their landlord and the business was issued a 30-day notice because they didn’t have enough parking spaces. Wild About Harry’s had been on Knox St. for 22 years.

The frozen custard and hot dog spot will live to boil another jumbo dog, though. The shop will re-open in the neighborhood on July 1. According to the release:

Just in time for Fourth of July (and Nat’l Hot Dog and Nat’l Ice Cream Month), Wild About Harry’s will reopen its doors in a new location with a new landlord, thanks to The Retail Connection, a Dallas-based full-service brokerage, advisory, and investment firm. The Retail Connection, which recently acquired a substantial portion of the Knox District through a partnership with MSD Capital, felt strongly that the beloved hot dog and custard shop must go on, and provided a temporary space on Travis Street.

Wild About Harry’s will be located at 4527 Travis St. If you can’t wait until July, you can always hop down to their Deep Ellum location.
