Troy’s to open at Texas Live!:
Troy Aikman is opening a restaurant at Texas Live! in the Arlington Entertainment District. According to the release:
Designed by internationally-acclaimed Jeffrey Beers International, the space will flow from a refined rustic interior inspired from some of the best beer halls in Texas and the country to an expansive, lush outdoor patio space…An indoor/outdoor stage in the middle will welcome live music seven days a week featuring a variety of local and regional acts. Additionally, Troy’s will feature a major LED display for a premier sports viewing experience.
Local guests and out of town visitors will enjoy an elevated menu at Troy’s based upon Aikman’s personal favorites including gourmet burgers with bold flavors and specialty margaritas made from the freshest ingredients. The menu will showcase several healthy lunch and dinner options, shareable sides, a selection of craft cocktails and a curated collection of wine and beer
The concept opens this summer.
Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill to open second DFW location this fall:
The gastropub, which opened earlier this year at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, is adding a second Dallas-area location at Glade Parks in Euless. According to the release:
Thirsty Lion will feature 7,500 square feet of interior space including a 32-seat bar. Outside, the gastropub will boast an expansive 1,800-square-foot patio with large fire pits with group seating and flat-screens, perfect for beautiful sunshine-filled days and chillier winter and spring nights. The location will also showcase an open-air kitchen, a large craft beer selection and a hearth-baked pizza oven, all trademarks of the Thirsty Lion brand.
POKE O to open at Mockingbird Station/Malibu Poké to open second location:
Hey, Dallas. We’re getting more poké. POKE O is opening later this month in Mockingbird Station at Ste. 130, across from Urban Outfitters. The release:
The first of several locations planned in the US and Chile, the brand-new poké spot is designed by its founders, a group of entrepreneurs, to be more than just the place for a high-quality, Hawaiian fish bowl. With large displays featuring new, local art each month (POKE O is now accepting submissions from Dallas artists) and global music playing in the background, the ambiance will be lively for guests.
And Malibu Poké, the restaurant from Jon Alexis and partners Ben and Eric Kusin, is opening a second Dallas location. The release:
With a targeted opening of early Fall 2018 for both spots, the second Dallas location will be at 2355 Olive St. (the new McKinney & Olive hi-rise development) at the edge of Uptown between Klyde Warren Park and the American Airlines Center.
The original Malibu Poké is located in Turtle Creek Village.
