There’s not always enough time in the day to skim a lengthy, re-worded press release that’s been stamped with “breaking” or “exclusive.” And some stories don’t warrant an entire page of prose. Each week we’ll gather the most important tidbits of Dallas food news and post them here, on SideDish. Because sometimes all you need is the scoop.

Lekka Henderson is closed: A friend called to let me know that he tried to eat at the restaurant and bar last weekend but the doors were locked. I reached out and they confirmed that the Henderson location is, indeed, closed. The North Dallas location is still open, though.

Unleavened Fresh Kitchen opens at The Hill: The third outpost of the fresh-casual restaurant opens this Friday, March 16 at 8031 Walnut Hill Ln., Ste. 1150. According to the release:

“Nestled in the the up-and-coming development, The Hill, Unleavened will provide the surrounding Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands neighborhoods with a unique-to-market, fast-casual concept that focuses on freshness. The restaurant features an assortment of seasonally rotating house-made wraps, hash and a la carte items for breakfast, and wraps, salads, dips, and hot and cold complements for lunch and dinner. The full menu is perfect for guests on the go, while those who dine-in can take advantage of unique local beers and a rotating selection of wines on tap. Additionally, the menu can be found on several popular delivery platforms such as UberEats, Doordash, and Favor.”

There you have it.

Toulouse Café and Bar now open in Legacy West:

The 5,500-square-foot French bistro is now open at 7301 Windrose Ave. in Plano’s Legacy West.

“Taverna opened just four months ago in Legacy West and has already experienced great success,” says Alberto Lombardi, founder of the Lombardi Family Concepts. “So we are eager to add our French-inspired concept to the mix. Toulouse brings something completely unique to the area. Guests can enjoy the company of friends and family at one of our cozy tables that open to the street, while enjoying the tastes of France with an expertly cooked trout almondine and wine from our extensive wine list. We are excited to introduce the sites and sounds of France to Plano.”
