The Localist: The Popcorn Market’s Queso Blanco Popcorn

This cheesy and spicy snack is a must-try.

Texans love queso. So, when I saw The Popcorn Market had a queso flavored popcorn, of course I tried it. My queso standards are pretty high, so I was sure I was getting nothing but a standard cheddar snack. Much to my surprise, the queso popcorn tastes like actual queso. The corn is a little bit spicy and a lotta bit cheesy. It is delicious.

I have been a fan of The Popcorn Market for quite a while. If you have ever been to The Bomb Factory to see a band play, The Popcorn Market is your source of sustenance at the venue. They also earned a spot in last year’s Big Tex Choice Awards for their wine and cheese flavored popcorn. This is a perfect blend of Pinot Noir and savory cheddar. My most recent favorite of theirs, however, is the buffalo ranch which is perfect when paired with a cold beverage.

They have several specialty flavors, all listed on their website. The company specializes in tabletop showcases and popcorn bars for special events. And make awesome gift packages with custom labeling and delivery within the Dallas and Fort Worth area. As for now, the majority of their business is done through their website, but we can plan on seeing them in stores and at several local bars by the end of the year. Visit their site or email the owner directly at [email protected] to order.
