Red Kitchen Foods is one of those companies I come in contact with and then cross my fingers, hoping they are local so I can share their story with you. Husband and wife team, Peter and Deanna Mollett, started this company just a little over four years ago in a red painted kitchen in Keller, Texas. Peter has a history in chemistry which is what sparked his interest in food product development.
Their line ranges from gourmet salts, like their best seller garlic salt and pepper to gourmet salsas, rubs, sauces and seasonings. The one that caught my eye is a newer product to the Red Kitchen Foods list. It’s called Votéw. An all-natural beverage mixer perfect for vodka, tequila, and whiskey. At only 35 calories per serving, the mixer is sweetened with organic agave and “kissed” with hibiscus. The side of each bottle lists recipes.
The brand itself has a mission that has stayed solid even throughout the massive growth in product selection. Everything Red Kitchen Foods makes is gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian friendly. Along with containing no MSG, no additives or preservatives and no high fructose corn syrups or added sugar.
Red Kitchen Foods can be found at several farmers markets in the area, online, or at their storefront, Smoking Texas Gourmet, in Keller. The Mollett’s also host cooking classes, corporate team building events, cater, and offer custom product development. To find out more about Red Kitchen Foods visit their website.
