Norma’s Café Offering Free Pie Tomorrow

A sweet treat for National Pie Day.

On my desk for many years was a postcard with the image of a black cat, its whiskers like sabers, its look one of unhinged panic—looking the way only a cat can look possessed. The caption read, “No pie?!”

If for you, too, pie is an existential question, you can celebrate National Pie Day with a slice of goodness four inches high, your choice from Norma’s towering piles of custard and meringue that seem to reach for the sky.

At all five locations, they’ll be offering a free slice of their signature Mile-High Pie, no purchase necessary, to each dine-in customer.

A freebie you can flock to. Also, you can leave with a “Keep Calm and Eat Pie” shirts, which will be on sale. Somehow the instruction seems particularly topical in this case.

Details:

January 23

All five locations

Dine-in only

10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., while supplies last
