Our very own Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters brought home a Good Food Award this year for their Ethiopian Guji. It’s an organic, natural process coffee, and this is the second time any roaster from Dallas has won this award—Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters snagged one in 2016. The Good Food Awards celebrate companies that are “pushing the envelope in both craftsmanship and sustainability.”

The awards are held in San Francisco over the span of three days and celebrate 15 categories including beer, pickles, preserves, oils, and of course, coffee (see the full list here), the awards are in their eighth year. 15 roasters from the united states took home an award out of 27 finalists in the coffee category and 1,138 companies in total entered products for consideration across all categories. This is a big deal.

Kevin Sprague began roasting coffee at home in 2003 and took his game to the professional realm at the end of 2011 with the launch of Noble Coyote Coffee. He and his wife Marta run things from their roastery and shop on Exposition Ave. Be sure to stop in to enjoy a cup of this award winning coffee. And don’t forget to congratulate them.
