LA-based fast food restaurant Top Round Roast Beef is opening its first Texas location at Irving’s Toyota Music Factory in November.
According to the release:
Nostalgic of what fast food used to be, everything is freshly prepared to order using all-natural ingredients. Top Round specializes in beloved American classics such as roast beef sandwiches (hand-trimmed and slow roasted for 10 hours in-house), curly fries (hand-cut from Idaho potatoes and fried in 100% beef fat), crispy chicken sandwiches (all-natural chicken marinated in buttermilk and pickle juice) and creamy, homemade frozen custard.
Thinking of the wholesome roast beef sandwiches of his youth, Chef and Co-Owner Steven Fretz and his partners dreamt up Top Round as a place to get simple, quality food, made chef-style. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Fretz spent much of his culinary career in fine dining and brings those exacting standards to Top Round. His experience includes working at Fifth Floor in San Francisco and as executive chef of Michael Mina’s XIV in Los Angeles.
Sounds like a fancy-pants Arby’s to me.
