The Foodie Experience “Best Bites of Big D”

A precursor to the weekend’s Taste of Dallas, The Foodie Experience will highlight the best food and drink Dallas restaurants, gourmet brands, and artisans have to offer. Participate in hands-on demonstrations or just wander the booths at Gilley’s Dallas from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Leave the kids at home; this event is 21 and up only. Make sure you buy your tickets ahead of time. General Admission is $55, while VIP, which gets you in 30 minutes earlier, is $80. Both tickets will grant you unlimited access to sampling. The Art of Cooking

Watch your children’s love for cooking spark as they learn how to sauté and sear this summer with SPARK’s cooking series. Saturday is the first of four classes throughout June and July. The classes aim to teach kids how to cook as well as instill leadership skills and confidence. The price for the entire series is $190. Summer Sundaze

Live the Hollywood lifestyle at Summer Sundaze on the WET deck at the W Dallas. Taste of Dallas

Fill your stomach and weekend at the Taste of Dallas festival at Fair Park this from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be more than 200 vendors, a massive Family Fun Zone, tons of activities, exhibitions and more. Tickets for each day begin at $15 and offer admission into the event, but be sure to scan through all ticket options for deals on different demonstrations and classes. Kids under 10 get in for free.
