Fifteen men were arrested on charges ranging from promotion of child pornography to online solicitation of a minor, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office. One of the men is Richard Butterly. He is the owner of Plano-based Poor Richard’s Café, a sprawling restaurant with a huge breakfast menu. Butterly was charged with possession of child pornography. Both Butterly and Poor Richard’s Facebook pages have been deleted. Butterly took over the popular restaurant in 1982.

I reached the restaurant’s manager, James Wells, this morning. He said the arrest took place last week. “I didn’t know about it until yesterday when it hit the Collin County Facebook page,” Wells says. “I talked to him last night, and he admitted he’d been arrested and said it was a mistake. He has an attorney, and the attorney said it was a mistake, and they are going to get it all cleared up.”
