Cuba Nostalgia Returns to Carrollton

This will be the 8th year of this of this all-things Cuban celebration.

Rita and Sara Vazquez, the ladies behind Cuban Dulceria II in Carrollton, are hosting the 8th annual Cuba Nostalgia, a three-day event devoted to the wonders of Cuba.

The festivities will take place Thursday, May 25 to Saturday, May 27. There will be Cuban exhibits, artists, poetry readings, and Cuban vendors. Cuban Dulceria II will offer Cuban food such as El Cuban, Media Noche, pastel de carne, croquetas, papa rellenas (stuffed potato ball), and mariquitas (plantain chips).

This year they are adding a Cuban rum bar with mojitos and Cuba libres made with Havana Club rum. It all takes place at Cuban Dulceria II in historic downtown Carrollton. Check their Facebook page for details or call 972-466-2253.
