Our game of Whack-A-Mole chefs continues. Now comes word that executive sous chef Mike Shetsky has moved up the line in the kitchen and is now the executive chef at SĒR Steak + Spirits. Shetsky has been with the restaurant for two years. Before that, he cut the chops at the Opryland Hotel in Tennessee. Shetsky moves into the position vacated by chef Kevin Spencer who moved to Austin to open a restaurant called the Austin Taco Project.

Does the Dallas restaurant industry’s current bloodthirsty battle for butts in seats bother Shetsky? “The Dallas restaurant scene is booming, and I’m excited to make my mark,” Shetsky says.

Them’s fightin’words.
