Lovers Seafood & Market is the latest concept from Tracy Rathbun and Lynae Fearing (Shinsei). Chef Aaron Staudenmaier, perviously of Abacus, is serving a selection of share plates, sandwiches, fresh fish, soups, and salad. Standouts include Tracy’s Tuna Melt with griddled sea bass and cheddar cheese; Kent’s Shellfish Slaw with lobster, shrimp, crab, cilantro, and lime dressing; IPA-battered fish and chips; and grilled shrimp dip. Lovers Seafood & Market opens for lunch on March 3, and will eventually serve dinner and brunch. (On Tuesday afternoon, a construction crew skittered around the mostly ready-to-open restaurant space at 5200 W. Lovers Ln. While we weren’t able to take full dining room shots, we did capture a few details).
