Hey, look, more fried chicken. Just received a press release stating that fast-casual concept Farmbryd is now open at 3308 Preston Road in Plano. According to the release:

“This is the first location for Farmbyrd, a new concept which will serve farm-fresh rotisserie and fried chicken along with an assortment of sides and salads.

The restaurant, located on the Northeast Corner of Preston Road and West Parker Road, was conceptualized by Tim McLaughlin, co-owner of Lockhart Smokehouse, and Chef Ryan Carbery along with business partner RJ Timmons. The three men bonded over the idea of a restaurant serving high-quality, farm-to-table, chef-driven food and created the unique concept for Farmbyrd that offers farm-fresh food along with Texas beers and craft cocktails.

The counter-service restaurant will offer rotisserie and fried chicken, salads and many side options. The 3,486-square-foot restaurant will be open 7 days a week serving lunch and dinner, and will also feature a full bar.”

I, for one, am fried-chickened out. But seems like the trend is still going strong in Dallas.

“We have been working on our rotisserie and fried recipes for quite some time and we are excited to bring our concept to life,” says McLaughlin. “We are offering a focused and simple menu that allows the farm fresh ingredients to shine.”

There you have it.
