8020 Hospitality, the group behind HG Sply Co. and Remedy, is opening Standard Service at 760 W. Ralph Hall Pkwy. in Rockwall. The kitchen, overseen by executive chef Danyele McPherson of Remedy, focuses on Texas cuisine.

“It was really fun to create a menu of modern Texas staples that focus on fresh, simple ingredients,” says McPherson in a statement. “Our food and environment allow our guests to create their own experience. Whether you want to watch the game with your friends, have a nice date night, or come in for a quick dinner with the kids, we truly have something everyone will enjoy. Much like our sister restaurant, HG Sply Co., we are mindful of the dietary restrictions of today’s diner.”

The space is causal and designed to feel like a neighborhood restaurant and bar. A 2,100-square-foot interior seats 80, while the 1,000-square-foot patio seats another 45.

“We wanted to change what a local spot could be,” says owner and operator, Elias Pope. “And it was simply about returning to a good idea. Reminiscent of the standard service grocer, it has a vintage feel with modern touches and a simple dining room where the counter is now a bar that opens to an outdoor patio. We created food, spirits and an atmosphere for our guests to enjoy with the people they know best.”

Standard Service opens on Monday, October 10. The restaurant will offer lunch, dinner, and specialty cocktails. You can view the full menu below.
