Thursday, September 15

Beats and Eats

This Thursday, head to the Granada Theater to make your culinary taste buds tingle. For $85, indulge in Chef Graham Dodds’ exclusive 4-course dinner paired with cocktails. Eat and enjoy while listening to Charley Crockett’s unique sounds.

Friday, September 16

Charcuterie and Cheese

Cheese, meats, and wine – oh my! We all enjoy a delicious meat and cheese plate (especially with a giant glass of wine), but knowing how to pair the three can be tricky. Scardello Artisan Cheese is offering a class to teach you how to impress guests with your own cheese board collection. Buy your tickets online for $40 and head to the Oak Lawn shop this Friday at 8 p.m.

Saturday, September 17

Dallas Margarita Society Pub Crawl

Join in on this pub crawl on Saturday to get your margarita fix. Tickets are $35 to $45 and include three drink tickets, drink specials, an EllumFest t-shirt and glass. The crawl begins at St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin at noon and hits a slew of bars including Anvil Pub and Punk Society until 5 p.m. If you aren’t done crawling by then, continue to the afterparty at Deep Ellum Brewing Company.

Battle of the Pitmasters

It’s blue versus red at the Battle of the Pitmasters this Saturday. Watch our Dallas police force and firefighters battle it out for $1,000 in prizes with their barbecue cuisine. Celebrity judges, including Myron Mixon from BBQ Pitmasters, will eat their fill and choose the winners. Head to NorthPark Center this weekend to support those who keep us safe. While you’re at it, don’t forget to enjoy the live bands, participate in raffles, drink beer, and eat plenty of ‘cue.

Sunday, September 18

Bagatelle Brunch Takeover

Sunday doesn’t always mean the party has to stop. Join Next Door Bar and Restaurant this Sunday for their Bagatelle Brunch Takeover: Size Matters. Why does size matter at this unique brunch? Well, they are offering bottles of champagne for half-price. At this brunch party, you can carry over your Saturday night to breakfast with tunes from DJ Hem, Mascots, and Drumlines. Who knows, they may have other party tricks to hype up your Sunday brunch. Tip: Reservations are strongly recommended.

All weekend

Grapefest

Grapevine is hosting their 30th annual Grapefest from September 15 through September 18. If you are a wine-loving human like most of us, you will fit right in. You can purchase tickets online for $12 to $25, which gives you access to specific wine tastings. With events, bands, and all the wine imaginable, you are guaranteed a grape-old time.

Addison Oktoberfest

Missed last week’s Oktoberfest? Don’t fret. There is another one this week where you can get your German on. At Texas’ largest German celebration, enjoy Oktoberfest favorites like sausage, German chocolate cake, and beer. Daily admission prices range from $10 to $60 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4 to 12, and free entry for children under three. There are different packages for the many kinds of German enthusiasts. Take the family to Oktoberfest to experience this European replica. Tip: Free admission on September 15.
