Mushrooms can go on just about anything, and they taste divine. Don’t you agree? If you are a ‘shroom enthusiast and always ask for extra on your plate, we have a list of dishes for you in honor of National Mushroom Month (don’t make fun, everything deserves to be celebrated).

Barley & Board
If you are fry-obsessed and mushroom-whipped, we have the perfect appetizer for you. Barley & Board offers the perfect combo of these two sides: truffle portobello fries. They are served with a delicious mustard aioli dipping sauce (be sure to ask for extra if you are a fellow sauce lover).

The Grape
So the weather in Dallas is still scorching hot, but that doesn’t mean that a scrumptious bowl of soup can’t be enjoyed. At The Grape, they offer their “famous” mushroom soup. You may be under the weather, cold, or just in the mood for something heartwarming, whatever it be, go celebrate National Mushroom Month with a bowl of soup from this Lower Greenville restaurant.

Shake Shack
If you haven’t already heard, Dallas is blessed enough to be one of the cities with a Shake Shack. With only a couple of weeks in its new locale, this place offers a killer Shroom Burger. So if you need to lay off the red meat, or change it up a little, this portobello-mushroom-cheese-filled-patty is ready for chompin’.

Taverna
Carbs are an important part in everyone’s diet, so why not add some mushrooms to your dish. Right on Knox Street, you’ll find charming Italian restaurant, Taverna. They offer Paglia E Fieno, creamy pasta drenched in truffle oil and topped with wild mushrooms (trust us, you will be back again).

Mellow Mushroom
Mellow Mushroom is the jackpot of mushrooms. They basically put mushrooms on their mushrooms. Their menu offers a mushroom club, portobello and cheese hoagie, a house calzone that includes spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and mozzarella, and finally a stuffed portobello mushroom. The stuffed mushroom cap includes artichoke hearts, feta, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and mozzarella with a balsamic glaze. Basically, if you are craving ‘shrooms, Mellow Mushroom is your joint.

The Old Monk
Just when you thought mushrooms couldn’t possibly be prepared any other way, we have another dish to add to the fungi-cuisine list. At The Old Monk, they tempura-fry mushrooms and serve them with a spicy cilantro sour cream sauce. Now that’s a mushroom creation.
