Hey, Fort Worth! Hold on to your ten-gallon hats because popular Lower Greenville hang Truck Yard is coming your way.

The music venue, restaurant, and bar will open in the old Crystal Springs Dance Pavilion lot later this year.

“It’s called Crystal Springs because 80 some odd years ago there was a dancehall and spring-fed swimming pond on the site,” Truck Yard proprietor-chef Jason Boso explains of the new location. “It’s long been gone since then, but in its heyday, a house band was formed called Milton Brown and his Brownies with Bob Wills. Milton Brown and Bob Wills created a new style of music called Western swing. We will honor this sacred ground with Western swing music and concerts and a strong theme of decor towards the history of Milton Brown, Bob Wills, Crystal Springs, and Bonnie and Clyde who were regulars to Crystal Springs and fans of the Western swing music.”

Expect food and drink offerings that are similar to the Dallas location.

Truck Yard Fort Worth is expected to open in fall 2016 and will be located at 5306 White Settlement Road.
