lisa_g_invite_1Remember when Lisa Garza appeared on the Next Food Network Star in 2008? Just 8 short years ago, she had us sitting on the edge of our chairs as she made it to the finals while wearing ping pong balls around her throat. She was a delicious hot mess.

The show has changed its name, dropped the Next, but the format is the same. Garza is not a Food Network star, but she owns Sissy’s Southern Kitchen and is putting the finishing touches on her new spot Shelby Hall.  But you, yes you, could be the next Food Network Star.

On Saturday, November 7, they are holding an open casting call for season 12 from 10am-1pm at The Westin Dallas Park Central (12720 Merit Drive). Here is what they are looking for:

We are looking for those with a captivating personality who believe they’re at the top of the culinary game and want to inspire a Food Network audience through their passion for food and cooking! Please feel free to post this information to your website, or forward on to anyone who might be interested in becoming the host of his or her own cooking show!

Apply here. For additional information email [email protected].
