Last year we announced that Herrera’s, Coal Vines, Little Katana Sushi, and Biergarten were slated to open just outside the Dallas Omni Hotel. Little Katana and Herrera’s are still under construction, Biergarten opened on Monday, and Coal Vines is scheduled to open on Monday, November 16.

While visiting Biergarten yesterday, restaurateur Joseph Palladino (Coal Vines, Nick & Sam’s, Biergarten) invited me to step next door and into the new Coal Vines space.

Once finished, the space will be adorned in light wood tables, and chairs and bench seating upholstered in purple. “I wanted the colors to be lighter in here than in my other locations,” Palladino explains, “The restaurant has more of a lunch feel to it.”

While customers can grab a seat and order off the regular Coal Vines menu, there’s also going to be a grab-and-go pizza counter and wine on tap. The restaurant will offer lunch, dinner, and brunch on the weekends.

Coal Vines is located at 665 S. Lamar St. just outside the Omni Hotel. The restaurant is slated to open on Monday, November 16.
