Hickory, the most recent project from Kent Rathbun Concepts, opened earlier this year at 8100 North Dallas Parkway in Plano. Rathbun’s team has partnered with airport restaurateur and concessionaire, Paradies, to open a second Hickory outpost. The casual barbecue-focused restaurant is slated to open in Terminal B at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in late 2016.

“We’re excited to bring the Hickory Concept to DFW Airport, where we can provide our loyal guests and plenty of new ones with great food in a comfortable setting,” said Rathbun in an email. “Airport food doesn’t have to be boring, and we’ll prove that every day with our exciting menu of Texas-tinged comfort food and craft drinks.”

The menu will offer smoked pepper crusted Wagyu brisket, wood smoked pork loin chop, St. Louis-style pork spare ribs, shaved Roti pork shoulder, and several burger options. The space will be adorned with sports memorabilia, large HD TVs, and a backlit bar.
