7 Dallas Pools to Sip and Swim at This Summer

It’s getting hot out there, Dallas. But there’s a solution to chase away those summertime blues: Grab a frosty beverage while taking a dip in a cool body of water.

Here’s a list of seven Dallas swimming pools where you can sip and swim this summer.

Fraternal Order of Eagles

The scene: An Olympic-sized pool equipped with entertainment for the entire family (there’s volleyball courts, a kiddie pool, and most importantly, a bar).

How to get in: Open to public for a cover charge. $7 general admission and $3 for children 5 and under.

What to drink: The fully stocked bar will serve up anything you want, but beer seems to be the most popular beverage option.

Hours and location: Daily from noon to 9 p.m. and the bar is open until midnight. 8500 Arturo Drive. (214) 327-9563.

Bungalow Beach Club

The scene: A high-energy pool-turned-club with special DJ events.

How to get in: The pool is open during special events to people who are 21 and older, swim attire is mandatory.

What to drink: Whatever they’re pouring. This isn’t a craft cocktail bar, so it’s probably safest to stick to the basics.

Hours and location: Wednesday and Friday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m. and then 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. 3121 Ross Avenue. (214) 821-3444.

The Fairmont

The scene:  This quiet, non-heated pool on the terrace of the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown Dallas is perfect for a mid-day dip.

How to get in: You have to be a guest of the hotel.

What to drink: A glass of wine or a specialty cocktail from the bar menu.

Hours and location: Daily from 6:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. 1717 N Akard Street. (214) 720-2020.

W Hotel’s WET Deck

The scene: A chic pool on the 16th floor of the hotel which boasts a stunning view of downtown Dallas.

How to get in: You have to be a guest of the hotel.

What to drink: Try a specialty cocktail from the WET Deck menu. The W Mojito with mint infused rum, lime, sugar, and soda is a sure way to cool down.

Hotel ZaZa

The scene: An exclusive guest-only pool which hosts a variety of parties.

How to get in: You have to be a guest of the hotel to use the pool, but the bar is open to the public.

What to drink: The hotel’s poolside menu offers a selection of wine, cocktails, and adult popsicles. Feeling lavish? Order bottle service.

Sisu

The scene: A lively party atmosphere powered by thumping DJ sets.

How to get in: Buy tickets online.

What to drink: The bar serves up a variety of rotating specialty cocktails and beer. They also offer bottle service for those who feel like splurging.

NYLO Dallas

The scene: This pool is located on the rooftop patio of the NYLO Dallas South Side hotel and has one of the best views of the Dallas skyline.

How to get in: Must be a guest to swim, but anybody can drink at the bar and hang out on the patio.

What to drink: The Belleview martini made with vodka, St. Germain, and white cranberry juice.

Hours and location: Sunday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon until 2 a.m. 1325 S Lamar Street. (214) 421-1080
