Do you like history? How about tequila? If you just answered “yes,” to both of those questions then you’ll definitely want to check out the Fifth Annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown this Sunday in the Bishop Arts District.

According to the event release:

“The history of the margarita runs deep in Texas and no matter if it’s frozen or shaken, Dallas loves a great margarita. We’re bringing the best margaritologists together to crown the best margarita in Dallas at the 5th annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown. Created by Tony Fernandez (Espumoso Caffe) and Nico Ponce (Backdrop Bloc, llc), the Margarita Meltdown will take place during Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 24th from 4pm-9pm in Dallas’ historic Bishop Arts District. The margarita competition will be 4-7pm with the winner being announced at 8pm.”

Competing restaurants include: Asador, Urban Taco, RJ’s Mexican Cuisine, Komali, Mexican Sugar, Westin Blue Fire Grille, C’Viche, The Ranch, El Ranchito, La Calle Doce, Veracruz Café, Bar 303, Pier 247, Scotch and Sausage, Local Oak, The Mobile Bartender, High and Tight, Tillman’s, Vagabond, The People’s Last Stand, La Margarita, Pie 314, Parliament and Mesa.
