Lead Belly Coffee to Open in Deep Ellum

A coffee shop named after iconic American folk and blues musician, Huddie William Ledbetter or “Lead Belly,” will open in the old Deep End Smoke Shop space at 2721 Main St.

Details are scarce, but what we do know is that the shop will serve cocktails and local coffee — and surely cocktails made with local coffee. A specific opening date has not yet been released, and the building is currently in shambles, so don’t hold your breath for fresh coffee on Main St. anytime soon.
