Happy Passover and a joyous Good Friday! I hope you managed to get out and enjoy a meal at one of our fine local restaurants. Last week, a handy diner “ had to go to Home Depot on Garland Rd.” and popped in a non-descript place called Flaming Burger.” The Texas Special Burger with “two patties with lots of fixings” was “every bit as good as a Keller’s.” Same reporter tried the pho at DaLat and found it “was too salty and not enough anise or depth that pho broth should have.”
A most-loyal Disher visited the new Tupinamba’s on North Central and Walnut Hill. She admits “it’s always been one of my favorite Tex-Mex places” and she loves “new circular bar has floor to ceiling windows that overlook the outside upper deck.” She didn’t try any of the new dishes, but stuck to Lauren’s Favorite (chicken breast, melted cheese, chopped tomatoes and sliced avocado with a salad, grilled zucchini and rice, yum).” She also sends a scoop: “There is a sign hanging next door that says: Coming Soon! Little Greek Restaurant.”
Go. Eat. Report.
