Dallas Farmers Market
The Shed at the Dallas Farmers Market will have plenty of herb, vegetable and flower plants to fill your home garden. Good Earth Organic Farm will join the market for the first time this season on Saturday and will be bringing strawberries, mixed salad with kale, beet greens, chard, and collard, farm raised lamb, eggs, and honey. Farmers Doug and Dacia Williams from Grow It Forward Farm will also be there with fresh kale, chard, and spinach.

Good Local Markets
This Sunday is the Fifth Annual Good Local Markets Chili Showdown at the Vickery Meadow Market. Twenty teams will compete for the win and a public tasting of the chili will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tasting tickets are $5. Lakeside Market will be open this weekend as well with fresh produce and goods.

Grand Prairie Farmers Market
This Saturday is Art Day at Grand Prairie Farmers Market. The market is partnering with the Grand Prairie Arts Council to host the annual Juried Art show and Sale. This year’s theme of the show is “Farmers Market/Market Square,” and $800 in cash prizes for first, second, and third places and Best of Show will be awarded in both adult and student categories. Join the Grand Prairie Arts Council from 10 a.m.to noon on the market patio with coffee and pastries for Java n’ Painting, where professional artist Sergio Turrubiartes guides you step-by-step through a featured painting that you take home when you’re finished. The market will offer fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats, honey, spices, and more.

Grapevine Farmers Market
The mosquitoes are already starting to appear for spring, so get prepared to ward them away with citronella plants, which are featured this weekend at market. Featured organic produce this week will include sweet onions, grapefruit, heirloom tomatoes, and green onions. Other produce this week will include okra, pickling cucumbers, green tomatoes, Silver Queen white corn, jumbo sweet cantaloupe, and more. The featured jarred item this week is comb honey, and the featured vendor is Texas Sheet Cake Baking Company. Their Texas sheet cakes are made with free range eggs and non GMO and hormone free dairy. The market is open at two locations, and free parking is available at the feed store location with purchase of a plant.

McKinney Farmers Market
Old favorites are back once again. McKinney Farmers Market will bring back Bliss Macarons to market this weekend, which tend to sell out of their French macarons quickly. Look for popular flavors like strawberry basil, pistachio, salted caramel, coconut, and more. Spoons Café food truck will also be returning to market as well, along with Five Star Tortilla. The McKinney Art Studio Tour is presenting mosaic artist Nancy H. Rosenberg this Saturday morning for Art in the Market. Rosenberg has been using glass, tile and other objects for over eight years to create her whimsical works of art, and will be at market working on her latest project for your viewing pleasure.

Uptown Farmers Market at West Village
The new Uptown market will feature two new food trucks this weekend: Say Kimchi and Oak Cliff Creperie. Say Kimchi will offer Korean foods with an American twist. Try the Kimchi fries topped with Bulgogi (beef) meat, kimchi, a special chef’s sauce, sriracha, and fresh cilantro. Oak Cliff Creperie will have sweet and savory crepes. Look for the Crepe Barnet filled with a fried egg, Italian sausage, caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese or the Crepe Pierre with Gruyere cheese, sautéed rock shrimp, and sautéed mushrooms and spinach.
