Wednesday

The Hospitality Sweet celebrates two years of business with free mini cupcakes and a new menu. The offerings now include a kale salad with lemon vinaigrette, ground turkey Philly melt, chipotle black bean quinoa wrap, grilled chicken jalapeño wrap, and gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. Thursday

Mayfest 2015, one of Fort Worth’s biggest festivals, returns this week. The four-day event includes activities for people of all ages. One piece of advice is to come hungry. Nosh on Cajun and Greek cuisine, Texas staples, and sweets. Tickets range from $5-$25 and can be purchased online.

The food trucks are coming out to Klyde Warren Park — at night. Decks in the Park is the place to be Thursday night as local DJs take over the park. Dance under the stars and eat from your favorite vendors from 7:30 until 10:30 p.m.

Friday

The Brew Mile is your chance to combine your love of running with beer. The beer lineup includes Rabbit Hole, Pedernales, Nine Band, Twin Peaks, and more. Here’s how it goes: start with a beer, run a quarter mile, then repeat. As unusual as it sounds, the race supports local charities. The race and after party with 3-hour open beer tasting takes place at Fair Park at 6:30 p.m.

First Fridays at Café Modern kicks off in the museum’s grand lobby from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Take date night to the next level with diverse live performances, unique cocktail selections, and the opportunity to dine at the Café Modern. Saturday

D Magazine and The Shops at Park Lane invite you to taste your way through some of our favorite grilled foods at GrillFest 2015. Sample summer wines and specialty beers while listening to live music at the new park at the Shops at Park Lane. This family-friendly event benefits North Texas Food Bank. Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce hosts the 25th annual Asian Festival with more than 30 various booths for sights, sounds, and of course, tastes. The assorted food trucks will offer authentic Asian cuisine. The free event runs from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Call 972-241-8250 for more information.

Dallas celebrates Cinco de Mayo in a big way. This festival and parade showcases Mexican cultural and heritage through music, dance, food, and activities. The events takes place at Oak Cliff Cultural Center from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Sunday

The wait is over, Kitchen LTO has announced the LTO 5.0 finalists. The chefs are Adrien Nieto, Ken Patrick, David Rodriquez, Christopher Stevens, and Anatascia Quinones. The artists are Jennifer Ay Yad, Amy Bogda, Debbie Daise, Crimson Shults, and Megan Van Groll. The “Meet. Taste. Review.” vote party will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Trinity Groves. Tickets are available online for $75 with proceeds benefiting Café Momentum.

Head over to Forth Worth for West 7th’s Bites and Flights. This food and wine event features bites from participating restaurants at $25 or purchase a “Foodie Wristband” for unlimited samples. The event starts at 2 p.m.

Missing football season? Get a Taste of the NFL for the ultimate Cowboys tailgate party at AT&T Stadium from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Rub elbows with past and present Dallas Cowboys players while enjoying gourmet tailgate fare and signature cocktails from more than a dozen of the area’s hottest chefs.
