Warm biscuits with honey are like medicine for your soul, it’s one of the ultimate comfort foods. I had always thought “honey was honey” until I came across the Texas Honeybee Guild booth at White Rock Local Market.

Texas Honeybee Guild has been dedicated to building awareness of bees and providing North Texas with amazing honey products for well over 10 years. Originated by the Pollard’s (a Lakewood couple) who have spent countless hours educating children on the importance of bees, placing and maintaining hives throughout our community, and lucky for us, making several honey based products available for rapid consumption.

It’s hard to choose, but one of my favorites is the Original Whipped Honey. Like I said, I love honey on warm biscuits, but I also hate the mess involved when trying to get the perfect amount out of the bottle. Whipped Honey completely eliminates this problem. You just scoop the creamy, solidified honey onto a knife and spread it atop something warm.

The Original Whipped Honey also comes in cinnamon and strawberry flavors. You can purchase all Texas Honeybee Guild products at White Rock Local Market and Dallas Farmers Market. They are also available at several retail locations. And if you have ever eaten a meal at Sissy’s, Garden Cafe or Hibiscus you may have unknowingly tasted the greatness of Texas Honeybee Guild.
