Chef Noboru Sho Mochido (Chef Sho) joins Kenichi as head chef. Chef Sho is a native of Japan and most recently worked at Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Last month, former Kenichi chef Yuki Hirabayashi stepped into his new role as owner and chef at recently opened sushi restaurant, Sushi Bayashi in Trinity Groves.

“We had an important mission in finding an executive chef whose skills were on par with what our guests demand here at Kenichi,” said Josh Babb, managing partner in an email. “In Chef Sho, we have a culinary artisan who has spent years perfecting his craft, showing great care to tradition while honing his ability to creatively concept new dishes our guests will love. We have a great, long-standing reputation in Dallas for serving great food and providing exceptional service.”

Other additions to the Victory Park Asian cuisine and sushi restaurant include new decor, an expanded outdoor patio, and a completely revamped menu that will debut in April.
