Patina Green Home and Market opened in the historic McKinney downtown square in June 2010. The gourmet sandwich shop — which serves food free of pesticides, preservatives, additives, and artificial flavors and coloring — has since found itself on the culinary radar, nabbing a Best of D award in 2014 for best sandwich shop, and a nod from Food Network Magazine for the best sandwich in Texas.

After nearly five years of plating salads, soups, and sandwiches for lunch, they’re adding a dinner service. Like lunch, the dinner menu will rotate on a weekly basis, offering items like smoked and pickled beets with hot mayo and pumpernickel; Red Wattle pork cheeks with ribbon cane syrup, radishes and kale; and chicken confit with Kentuckyaki sauce and benne.

The restaurant is currently in the process of applying for their on-premise alcoholic beverage license, and if plans go accordingly, diners will get to wash down their meals with a variety of local craft beers, and sustainable wines. Patina Green is also slated to undergo a remodel. Dinner service launches in April.
