Kari Crowe-Seher will open a second location of Melt, the funky, artisanal ice cream shop she opened in April 2013 in the Fairmount district in southern Fort Worth. Crowe-Seher apprenticed for a week at Mason’s Creamery in Cleveland, Ohio and I guess she had a knack for creating fun flavors. Yesterday the Oak Cliff Advocate mentioned the opening. Dang, why does Oak Cliff get all the good stuff first? If you’re in walking distance to the store on West Davis at Tyler, you’ll be happy next summer. You’ll have two places to choose from. According to our newly appointed ice cream editor, Bradford Pearson, Carnival Barker’s is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2015.
UPDATE: Well color me stupid. The storefront at West Davis at Tyler was the site of a Melt Ice Creams pop up shop. I’m waiting confirmation for permanent plans.
Kari Crowe-Seher just wrote: ” No, OC reported without fact checking. We did a temporary pop up shop by invitation. Currently we have no plans to expand to Bishop Arts.” Well, that was fun. Moving on.
