Flashback Friday: Cheap Eats

Take a step back in Dallas dining history.

The August 1987 issue of D Magazine devotes six pages to exploring fifty great restaurants to dine at for roughly $10. The spread, which is part of the fall/winter restaurant and entertainment guide, includes Blue Goose Cantina for their $12.95 chicken fajitas; Highland Park Cafeteria for their $3.15 chicken fried steak, 60-cent mashed potatoes, 54-cent jalapeño corn muffins, and 74-cent cherry cobbler; and Aw Shucks for a $4.75 half-dozen fried oysters.
